You really can’t go wrong with an Irish pub and Micky Finn’s is no different. It’s warm, familiar and jovial, putting everyone at ease with the usual redwood setup, plus an army of engulfing sofas, some pub games and a stage for all the hottest local talent. Like all Irish pubs, Micky Finn’s has cultivated a local following that ensures they’re full to the rafters every evening of the week.

And if it isn’t to see other fellow locals, everyone’s heading this way for the food. Micky Finn’s has put a Thai twist at the heart of the menu, serving up fragrant curries, sizzling stir-fries, fresh noodle dishes and street-food inspired starters alongside the pub favourites people already know and love. Think Pad Thai tossed with rice noodles, beansprouts, fried egg and roasted peanuts; spicy Pad Kee Mao with fresh chilli, garlic, peppercorns, Thai basil and kaffir lime leaves; or a rich Green Curry with bok choy and South-East Asian herbs. For something a little heartier, there’s slow-cooked Beef Cheek Curry in Penang sauce, or a meltingly tender Massaman Lamb Shank cooked with potatoes in a coconut and spice-infused curry sauce, finished with kumara chips and fried shallots.

They’re serving all the pub classics too, of course. We’re talking heartwarming plates like Hāpuku Fish and Chips, Steak, Eggs and Chips, crispy Chicken Burgers, cheesy pizzas with pepperoni, smoked salmon and Greek lamb, plus towering comfort dishes stacked with all the delicious extras.
