Teddy’s Tacos brings a bright slice of the south-west to Te Aro, as New Zealand’s first authentic New Mexican-style eatery and taqueria. Located on Cuba Street, the mood is easy-going and effervescent - the sizzle from the griddle and the hum of good company set the tone for tacos done right.

In the kitchen, tradition meets indulgence. Griddle-fried corn tortillas cradle melted cheese, crisp lettuce and a choice of protein, finished with salsa ranging from zesty verde to tomato, green chilli or red chilli.

Substantial burrito plates arrive generously smothered in Hatch green chilli sauce, while the burger board nods to the region with a green chilli cheese burger and the El Cubano. From sharing bites like jalapeño poppers to a crisp taco salad, there is something to satisfy every appetite.
