Highlands Motorsport Park - Museum

The Highlands Museum is home to some of the rarest cars in NZ motorsport history, alongside hidden gems that include an authentic American sheriff’s patrol car, a larger-than-life Transformers Bumblebee action figure, and arcade driving games.

Hands-on action continues at the reaction station (also known as a Batak machine), which is always a hit with kids who love active challenges - and just as addictive for adults!

Museum entry also includes access to the Young Guns Virtual Reality room, where you can take a virtual hot lap around the Highlands circuit alongside New Zealand motorsport legends like Greg Murphy, Mad Mike, and Hayden Paddon.

After exploring the exhibits, refuel at the Highlands Cafe with a menu built on big flavours and comfort. Enjoy turbo-loaded fries - from cheesy fries with gravy to Korean BBQ fries topped with Kewpie mayo and spring onion.

Along with main grid crowd-pleasers like eggs benny or a cha sui pork belly burger with pickled vegetables and sriracha mayo, and trackside pizzas like chicken with plum sauce and rocket or roasted garlic with red onion and melting cheeses.

Little racers are well looked after with options like a kids bacon buttie or fish n’ chips.
