Can you think of a friendlier spot? Connecting with loved ones over homemade food is simply in Friends Cafe's blood - whoever walks through their doors is automatically part of the family.

Bright and easy-going, Friends Cafe encapsulates the slower pace of life along Papamoa and encourages diners to take a beat with gorgeous breakfasts and lunches. Watch the sunrise on the coast from their open-plan dining room that welcomes every last ray of sun through its enormous windows. You couldn't find a more wholesome place to enjoy a lovingly made meal that comforts and consoles.

Where possible, the menu uses local ingredients in order to give back to the communities and farming initiatives. Only free-range eggs are used to make their eggs benedict, fluffy souffle omelette and Friends Breakfast that is complete with kransky sausages, baked beans and garlic butter potatoes.

If you're stopping by at midday, their brunch menu comes in strong with a whole range of international eats that will tickle every last tastebud. From vegan chicken tacos to sweet and salty pork belly, loaded poky bowls and fish and chips, the best of NZ and the rest of the world is here. And with a gorgeous range of salads too, some with falafel, harissa chicken and calamari, there's food for every mood. As for the Oreo waffles, there's no such thing as 'not in the mood'.
